The musicologist and cultural historian Prof. Dr. Linda Maria Koldau is research professor at the Research Institute for History and Culture at Utrecht University (The Netherlands). She is currently working as Marie Curie Fellow at Kiel University with a cultural historical project on flood disasters and tsunamis.
In 2009, Prof. Koldau was headhunted to become professor in musicology to Aarhus University (Denmark), where she filled the chair of the renowned music historian Knud Jeppesen. In 2012 she left Aarhus University. In 2004-2009, she worked as professor and institute director at Frankfurt University in Germany.
Based on her experiences in Denmark, Prof. Koldau has established her own academy (German version), where she offers business courses on effective working methods, cultural historical seminars and public lectures to adults and gifted young people. Her academy cooperates with Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten am Schluchsee.
As cultural journalist and university analyst, Prof. Koldau has published broadly in newspapers and journals, amongst others Politiken, Berlingske Tidende, Weekendavisen, Dagbladet Information and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
